The lake and villa were built in 1986 and the lake has never been used for fishing before. The lake was opened up at the end of August 2004 for the first time for people to fish.

The lake of just over an acre lies at the front of the house in a small valley and the whole lake is easily accessible. Fishing with Carp Rods would be ideal for 3 anglers. Four can fish if you are all sensible, which is up to you. Coarse/Float fishing would not be a problem.

There is no need to cast to the other side, don’t forget the margins!

The lake has been extremely well stocked and contains Carp (Both Mirror, Common & Grass) to well over 40lb and Cat Fish to over 60lb, plus Roach, Tench and some small Pike. We are hoping that 2009 will see the landing of our first 50lb+ Carp! The lake is fed by a small stream, which even in the hottest summers has never dried up.
